Marie, Mico et moi
Marie, Mico and Me is a site-specific poetic installation that weaves a sensitive correspondence between past and present, presence and erasure. Through an assemblage of archival objects — a toiletry kit, photographs, monogrammed MMM embroideries — along with ghostly cyanotypes, stones, branches, and local fruits, Stéphanie Filion evokes the traces of a blurred history: that of Marie Clews and Mico, the governess.
By inserting her poetic voice alongside these two women, she questions what remains of invisible relationships and forgotten narratives.
The project includes a whispered soundscape (available here).
Temporary site-specific poetic installation created during an artist residency at the Château de La Napoule, in February 2025.
